The Austrian grand prix 2023 took place on the 30th of June all the way to the 2nd of July.
With media day starting a day before on Thursday the 29th of June.
Friday the 30th of June held the Qualifying with Max Verstappen (1) taking pole once again. Charles Leclerc (16) aquired P2 with Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz (55) securing P3 starting on the second row of the grid.
Saturday July 1st hosted the second sprint race of the season since Baku with Red Bull managing to secure a 1-2 with drivers Max Verstappen (1) and Sergio Perez (11). Carlos Sainz (55) just about managed to snatch the 3rd position for the sprint race earning his team a very valuable 6 points.
Sunday July 2nd held the most anticipated Grand prix. A titillating start from Max Verstappen (1) and Charles Leclerc (16) had fans wondering whether the monegasque will have his second win in a row in Austria as he won the 2022 Austrian Grand Prix. Alas Max Verstappen (1) managed to fly by and win the race with 5 seconds ahead of Charles Leclerc (16) and grabbing the fastest lap in the process. Sergio Perez (11) took home the 3rd place of the race. Lando Norris (4) won driver of the day with 26% of the votes and secured P5 in the race. When told he won, the driver replied “Noooo really? Oh that’s cute. That’s because there’s so many Papaya fans here.”
Correction on Lando Norris (4)’s race placement. The FIA released that Carlos Sainz (55) dropped down to 5th position after the post race penalties were issued earning Lando Norris (4) the 4th place in the Grand Prix. P4 for car number 4.

The entire Formula Racing community is saddened to learn the passing of Dilano Van’t Hoff who crashed at the Spa circuit in Belgium at the Formula Regional European Championship on Saturday July 1st.
